Shafi U Ahmed is mainly the author of our books. By career he is a chartered Marine Engineer with a title of European Engineer (Eur Ing) who has served for many years early in his life in the merchant navy and later as a marine surveyor with various Governments and International Organizations. In addition to his professional qualifications Shafi U Ahmed has an MSc in Astrophysics from the University of London, a B.A (Hons) degree from the Open University U.K and an LL.B (Hons) degree from the University of London. He is a Fellow of the Royal Astronomical Society (UK), Royal Asiatic Society (UK) and Member of the Mathematical Association (UK), as well as belonging to many other learned bodies and institutions around the world. He is also a First Prize winner of the prestigious annual Peterloo Poetry Competition in U.K. He has been listed in Who's Who in Science and Engineering, Who's Who in Poetry, Who's Who in the World, The Baron's 500, and many other similar prestigious world wide publications.
